Jurassic Cruise to Poole Quay

Jurassic Cruise to Poole Quay

Cruise past the Isle of Purbeck and Old Harry Rocks to historic Poole Quay on this delightful 45 minute each way cruise. Spend time ashore in Poole.

The cruise departs from Swanage and sails along the Jurassic coast – the only Natural UNESCO Heritage Site in England, formed over the course of 200 million years. The captain provides a lively informative commentary, pointing out the major land heave that separated this headland from the Isle of Wight many years ago.

From Old Harry Rocks, the cruise takes you past Brownsea Island and into Poole Harbour. The ship docks at Poole Quay, where you can land and explore Poole Pottery and the many other attractions in this historic spot. The cruise then returns you to Swanage in the afternoon. Alternatively, in the afternoon we do a round trip Jurassic Cruise, so you can stay aboard for the full 1½ hour cruise, without landing in Poole.

The boats have wide open decks, comfortable lounges, washrooms and a fully licensed bar serving freshly baked cakes, cream teas, hot and cold beverages, real Purbeck Ales and much more.

Enjoy a cream tea onboard - Cream teas with freshly baked scones, clotted cream and preserve are served onboard. These can be pre-ordered for groups for £3.50 per person.
